About

Mission

We believe children can and will learn if allowed to work in an environment that is conducive to learning. The Morse School setting allows the young child to develop emotionally, socially, and educationally. We are of the ardent belief that a child can meet or exceed their greatest potential if afforded a safe and nurturing environment.

As a school program devoted to the positive growth of the young child, collaboratively with the parents and the community we strive to be the building blocks for our student’s educational future as well as their place in society.

Vision Statement

The vision of the Morse School Community is to meet the needs of the whole child through collaborative work with parents and the community. We strive to provide a school program that encompasses the social, emotional, and educational needs of the child.

We are committed to providing the young child with an excellent comprehensive educational foundation.

Programs

Kindergarten Writing to Read

Students work individually at their own pace to improve writing and reading. Through the use of multi- sensory phonic based software, students improve their skills. Students use six computerized hands- on learning stations that are enjoyable and educationally effective.

Math Their Way

An emphasis is made on learning early math concepts. Kindergarten, First, and Second grades focus on identifying key learning constructs that produce better outcomes.

Classroom Computers

Every classroom is equipped with learning stations where students can work individually, or in teams. Computers are up to date offering a variety of educational programs.

Cultural Experiences

The discipline of art, music and literature are incorporated into the curriculum. Morse students are provided with a variety of performances, field trips and multicultural events held during the year. The music program at Morse School performs a number of grade level musical concerts throughout the school year.

PTA

We have a very active Parent Teacher Association. We encourage all to join and participate. Funds raised are used to provide our students with a plethora of field trips, school events, and educational/cultural programs.

PTA meetings are held the second Thursday of each month. Please come and be a part of it!

Coaching Room

The overall objective of the Coaching Room is to provide students an opportunity to work through minor problems without being sent immediately to the Principal's Office.

It provides the student with a cathartic, positive, outlet to regain their focus on learning. It is also an opportunity for the student to practice and learn problem solving skills.
