The Poughkeepsie Middle School National Junior Honor Society recently completed its annual Cozy Comfort Drive, collecting items of clothing to donate to the homeless.

The NJHS members went room to room and had drop-off boxes to collect items from Oct. 6-Nov. 7. Brand new socks, mittens, hats, gloves and scarves were donated in droves, illustrating the compassion and generosity of the school community. The items will be brought to a local shelter.

“We extend heartfelt gratitude to all students, teachers and staff here at Poughkeepsie Middle School for their generous contributions and support,” NJHS President Za-Kai Douglas said. “The Cozy Comfort Drive shows us what we are capable of when we show up together to give back to our community.”
