As we prepare for fall 2025 it's vitally important accurate addresses are on file with the district for all students. This is especially true this summer as the district prepares to offer bus service to most elementary students for the first time. Unfortunately, much of the mail being sent by the district is being returned due to inaccurate address information, and we need your help to change that. Visit the link to the Central Registration form below, or reach out to Central Registration by phone at 845-437-3480 or email at Centreg@poughkeepsieschools.org, to be sure your address is accurate.

The Parent Empowerment Center (PEC) serves as a welcoming resource for parents and caregivers seeking assistance with navigating the school district, learning effective strategies to support their child’s education, and discovering various opportunities to strengthen family connections. When parents and caregivers visit, they will be greeted in a warm, inviting atmosphere where they can collaborate, access resources, and participate in educational workshops. A Parent Empowerment Center Liaison will be on hand to offer help with a wide range of services and resources.
Additionally, the Parent Empowerment Center is available to all residents of the Poughkeepsie City School District. We provide several free services, including a food pantry, access to computers and printers, and books, all available five days a week.
The Parent Empowerment Center is located in Poughkeepsie Middle School, 55 College Ave. For any questions or assistance, please reach out to the center at 845-451-1900 ext.1425
