The Division of Instruction is comprised of our Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Elementary and Secondary curriculum departments and administrators,  College and Career Readiness, English Language Learners, Physical Education, Health and Athletics, School Counseling, Adult Education, Career and Technical Education, Community Schools programming, and Data, Accountability, and Assessment. We are excited to provide our students with a strong academic experience and are here to support the students and families of Poughkeepsie City School District!

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction is responsible for providing district-wide coordination and oversight of the instructional programs offered to the students. The team works collaboratively with building administrators and teachers to select appropriate, rigorous, and research-based curriculum programs, provide ongoing professional development, and analyze and share data for the continued academic growth of all of our students.
