The Poughkeepsie City School District is forming its next Strategic Plan and it's looking for your input.
The updated Strategic Plan will aim to create a roadmap that not only reflects the aspects of our schools that are already working well but also addresses areas in which we can make improvements. We are committed to considering your perspectives and opinions on the direction we should take. Accordingly, we've launched a survey, open through June 27, for you to share your insights.
The survey platform allows you to contribute your thoughts anonymously, and you can also view and rate the feedback provided by other community members. We encourage an open and ongoing dialogue, so feel free to revisit the platform often and keep the conversation alive.

For Mac OS users, there is a system setting that may not allow you to tab onto several types of elements in a web page. To change this setting:
Together, We are Champions for Children in Poughkeepsie City Schools
The Poughkeepsie City School District utilizes the P3 Campus anonymous reporting platform as a tool for students, parents or any community member to notify schools of a potential threat of violence or other issue regarding a building or an individual’s mental wellbeing.
Reports can be made if a student is contemplating suicide, experiencing depression or anxiety, bullying, dating or domestic violence, inappropriate adult-child interactions, drug or alcohol problems, or other issues.
Tips can be made to the district’s P3 Campus webpage, or through an app available for Apple or Android devices. (Use the accompanying QR codes below to download the app.)
Those making the tip can attach screenshots, videos and photos to provide more information and aid in an appropriate response.
Once an alert is received, the affected school’s administrators are notified and can assess the situation and determine the best course of action. Included in the notification are the principal, assistant principal, crisis worker, social worker, psychologist and trauma liaison.
If a person calls after school hours and needs to speak with someone immediately, they are routed to a trained staff member at a monitoring service and that person will then be able to notify the district’s after-hours contact.
Since the system allows for two-way communication, more information can be gathered at the time of the report. The system also allows for those people who make a report to be notified once action is taken so the loop is closed.
