Want to learn more about the Poughkeepsie City School District’s summer programs? How about athletics camps? Art programs? Summer opportunities that encourage STEM exploration, innovation and even journalism?
The Poughkeepsie Children’s Cabinet, working with the district, the City of Poughkeepsie and others, have compiled the 2026 Poughkeepsie Summer Youth Programs Guide, a community-wide resource designed to help families discover opportunities for children and teens all summer long.
The guide went live Friday morning.
From sports and arts programs to academic support, workforce development, leadership opportunities, and more, this guide brings together all the programs of Poughkeepsie into one accessible place.
Summer is not just about activities. It is about planting the seeds that will allow young people to thrive for years to come. Engaging children in quality summer programming helps prevent learning loss, build confidence, strengthen social skills, and spark creativity. Strong youth programming also supports working families and contributes to safer, healthier communities.
The guide is available at this link, or on the district’s website at https://www.poughkeepsieschools.org/summer-programs
