Greetings PMS Families,
We have two exciting events next week and look forward to welcoming you to Poughkeepsie Middle School!
🏫 PMS Open House
Wednesday, September 23 | 5:00–7:00 PMParents, guardians, and students are invited to join us for PMS Open House. Meet your child’s teachers, visit classrooms, learn more about the school year, and connect with our PMS staff.
🎬 Screen on the Green
Friday, September 25 | 6:00–9:00 PMWe’re bringing our entire PMS community together for an outdoor movie night!
PMS students and their families AND PMS staff and their families are all invited to join us on the Green as we watch Black Panther under the stars.
🛍️ Vendors: 6:00–7:00 PM
🌿 The Green opens: 6:30 PM
🎬 Featured Movie: Black Panther
🍿 Popcorn, cotton candy & light refreshments will be served
Bring your chairs and blankets, find a spot on the Green, and enjoy the evening with our PMS community!
Please Note: Students attending Screen on the Green without a parent or adult chaperone must submit a signed permission slip.
We hope to see our families at Open House on Wednesday and our students, families, staff, and staff families back on Friday for Screen on the Green!

🏫 Noche de Puertas Abiertas de PMS
Miércoles, 23 de septiembre | 5:00–7:00 p. m.Invitamos a padres, tutores y estudiantes a nuestra Noche de Puertas Abiertas. Tendrán la oportunidad de conocer a los maestros de sus hijos, visitar los salones de clase, obtener más información sobre el año escolar y conectarse con el personal de PMS.
🎬 Screen on the Green – Cine al Aire Libre
Viernes, 25 de septiembre | 6:00–9:00 p. m.¡Reuniremos a toda nuestra comunidad de PMS para disfrutar de una noche de cine al aire libre!
Los estudiantes de PMS y sus familias, así como el personal de PMS y sus familias, están invitados a acompañarnos para disfrutar de Black Panther bajo las estrellas.
🛍️ Vendedores: 6:00–7:00 p. m.
🌿 Apertura del área verde: 6:30 p. m.
🎬 Película: Black Panther
🍿 Habrá palomitas de maíz, algodón de azúcar y refrigerios ligeros
Traigan sus sillas y mantas, busquen un buen lugar y disfruten de la noche junto a nuestra comunidad de PMS.
Importante: Los estudiantes que asistan a Screen on the Green sin uno de sus padres o un adulto responsable deberán entregar un permiso firmado.
¡Esperamos ver a nuestras familias en la Noche de Puertas Abiertas el miércoles y recibir nuevamente a nuestros estudiantes, familias, personal y las familias de nuestro personal el viernes para Screen on the Green!
